Carmen Basilio's Red and White Wine

Carmen Basilio, born in Canastota, New York, was twice a Welterwieght Champion and also Middleweight Champion. Basilio defeated "Sugar" Ray Robinson, Tony DeMarco, Johnny Saxton, Gil Turner and many others in a glorious career of 56 wins and 27 knock outs. Champion Carmen Basilio won the prestigious Hickok Belt Award in 1957 after winning the middleweight title against "Sugar" Ray Robinson. The Hickok Belt Award was the "Oscar" of all sports awards from 1950 through 1976. Carmen and his wife, Josie currently reside in Rochester, NY and have been close family friends with Lenny and Meg Cecere, owners of Ventosa Vineyards, for many years.
Carmen Basilio Red and White are available for tasting in the tasting room as well as for purchase. They are available online as well as in select liquor stores.

Welcome to Ventosa Vineyards...
Ventosa Vineyards is located on the Northeast shore of Seneca Lake, in the heart of the Finger Lakes wine region.
Ventosa, the Italian word meaning "windy", offers a unique Tuscan setting which brings the ambiance of Tuscany to the Finger Lakes. The friendly atmosphere, premium wine tasting and breathtaking view of Seneca Lake provides an experience you will be sure to enjoy and remember.
The vineyard at Ventosa consits of 23 acres of vinifera grapes. These premium grapes include Pinot Noir, Lemberger, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot, Pinot Gris, Riesling, and Chardonnay. Additionally, Ventosa grows Sangiovese and Tocai Friulano, Italian grapes not typically found in the Finger Lakes Region.
